It’s originally pronounced “cute” as that also prevents confusion with QT (Apple QuickTime).
Due to everyone around me (physically) calling it Q.T., I have picked that up too. And then companies creating JDs write it down as QT, making me cringe every time.
Thankfully, QuickTime is mostly not in use, meaning that anyone really posting for it would most probably use its full form, so I can know that Qt is referring to Qt.
“then” is used to depict time, sequence or a causal relationship. “than” is used with comparative adjectives, to depict comparison.

Yeah, to do so in a GUI, you would require a nodes UI or similar thing, which is pretty heavy in itself and one won’t use it unless that’s the point of the workflow.

2·1 day agoYes, but it is also important to understand that not having a Design Document does not equate to not having a Design.
There was 1 project where the users of the UI I was making were not nearby (in most cases my direct senior was also the user) and most of the UI/UX expectation were passed on verbally. I then made a basic model and then iterated over it with repeated feedback from the target users. So the point is that anyone putting a design document on a pedestal (like an interviewer at one of my past applications) is most probably spewing garbage.

1·3 days agoHeh.
Design documents are only useful if those deciding the design are making it and are ready before the coding starts.
And then there is this confusion of which “Design Document” one is talking about. It could be a UI/UX document or it could be the software design document, which would comprise multiple flow-diagrams, helping anyone pick up a project for maintenance and extension.

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK that radishes are fucking amazing. They contain vitamin C, improve blood pressure, and are full of Sulforaphene, a powerful anti-cancer substance. Radishes contain almost no caloriesEnglish

For anyone that identifies as a black hole, all mass is calories.

1·6 days agoYeah, that claim is pretty dubious.
If it has almost no calories, then it has almost no mass.
To get the approximate amount of calories in a piece, just measure its weight to get the mass (Min kg) and use the formulaM * c * c * 0.2390057, wherecis the speed of light in m/s.
And that’s where my comment matches what the Avid Amoeba is going with, that Debian will make the hardware usable for so long that RISC V might be mainstream (and maybe even powerful enough compared to current x86_64) by the time I decide to change the system.
IIRC the x86_64 binaries won’t work, so you will require a reinstall.
What if my new hardware ends up being RISC V?

I’d say it’s primarily the way she’s posing with them that makes it look cool.
And then she seems to have removed it when talking, which is probably when she knows it won’t look as good.
