    Aladdin scares Indians.

    In 1993 the Indian government declared war on the fictional city of Agrabah. The ensuing war lead to the death of ~363,000 Indians, most of which had broken necks from running head first into the Japanese provisioned Sony KV-32XBR36, a 32" CRT TV, in an attempt to phase through the glass and into the city.

    31st of April is designated as a national holiday, Indians normally honour their ancestors and brave heroes who tried to stop Robin Williams from being blue, and to encourage Iago to tell The Aristocrats without censorship.

      Given that he was Chinese in older versions of the story, maybe OP heard one where he was Indian and thought they’d be offended that it was changed.

      Yeah, everything else about Agrabah aside, they say “Arabian nights” like four times in the theme song…
