Went to Superstore today (something I avoid like the plague) and discovered that they've replaced the 50% off for soon to be expired food with a new 'reduced price' system. The price is *almost* 50% off but plus 10 or 20 cents. Now this may not seem like a big deal but consider a clear decision was made to make a whole new system with new labels just so they could fleece a few more cents out of customers for food that was already going to be wasted anyway. #fuckloblaws #Canada #Monopoly

    It’s just Lowlaws, but most grocery stores now have something like this. Personally, I’m okay with that. I get food for cheaper, but I have to hurry to eat/cook it.

    EDIT: I even have a small store nearby that buys a lot expired foods from the big stores, freeze them and resell them. So it’s very common to see expired dates when I shop there.
