8 hours agoSetting up Matrix/Synapse was extremely easy and done in a day. The self hosting part is not that hard and I would say migrating users would be the majority of your time. Plenty of VPSs online make obtaining infrastructure very easy.

Are you self hosting? I just set up an instance today and it was extremely easy following the instructions for the ESS Community edition on github.
Borg Base offers EU based server locations. They have been awesome to work with.
