Interesting, every wm I’ve tried had a status bar, launcher and a web browser preinstalled, but I haven’t tried many and I forget what distro


Is it possible that you have something called “masquerading” enabled on the firewall zone that the server is in?


I’m not really experienced with VLANs but this seems interesting. Is this only for requests from within the network or also for requests coming from outside the network, i.e. from your phone via cellular data or from a VPS?


I think most window managers typically come with just a fee GUI apps preinstalled, but most users install more.


I mean isn’t it accepted that NixOS is a terrible pick for a beginner, especially a non-technical one? I feel like even the Nix community doesn’t recommend the distro to complete beginners.
Give me one big monitor and I’ll set up 10 virtual desktops to switch between on it and I’m happy
