Is Kratom an opioid? I’ve never had any plans to even consider it, but I had no idea it was one. Those issues you described though make a lot of sense on how he got hooked. He’s never had good self control and it’s easily available where I am

I’m not really sure how to put it into words. I think the words I’m looking for are a dependence vs. an addiction.
Dependence is like withdrawals and stuff from the chemical, while addiction is his brain is hooked on the effect that comes from taking it
My thought was Kratom. My dad takes it to help his depression, lately though I think it’s turned into an addiction. I think it’s more of a personal addiction though. Like getting addicted to the effect of pills rather than the pill itself

1·2 days agoWith the game’s narrative on being a meta commentary on the creative process given physical form sometimes, the idea of trading places feels highly appropriate. I love all the little layers this game has going on with its narrative. It feels like you can dissect at many different levels

I had noticed that too with the lines. There’s so many little tiny details in the game. It really feels like they paid attention to every corner of the game.

2·3 days agoWhat matters is you’re enjoying yourself. But yeah, remedy always knocks it out of the ball park, especially in story. They’re one of my favorite studios for that alone

1·3 days agoThat’s how I first played it. It… wasn’t a great experience. It’s tolerable if you adjust the graphics right but it wasn’t pretty and it still got pretty choppy in Cauldron Lake specifically

Yeah. I think you have explained it far better than I have. I believe he has a mental dependency to it.
I hope he’s able to find something to. We’ve tried to help him but he’s made it clear he doesn’t want or think he needs help. So the best I can do is be supportive towards his mental health and hope he realizes he needs help
