Honestly though, theres nothing more holy than sponsors in sports, so they probably asked them for permission prior to this message beeing displayed. The fact that they were okay with a message that pisses off a good portion of their customers speaks for them.

Still wouldnt buy their pants though.

It was all over Norwegian media that Trump said it was the worst half time show ever.

Therefore I unironically fully assume that it must have been the best fucking halftime show of all time, full stop.

It was great, definitely the best I’ve seen. Not just some generic gyrating dancers on stage… there was a whole story, a real couple got married and had their wedding cake as part of the story, there was dynamic movement and action throughout, all filmed very well. Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin made appearances. Lots of cultural symbolism. Oh, and music on top of all that. Plus I now have a low key crush on Bad Bunny cause he is just delicious.

It’s not for me either. I did hear that he endorsed the left wing(socialist iirc) party in the last Puerto Rico election, and obviously has been very vocally anti-ICE, so I’ll take it.

I dig the dude and his message, but NONE of that music resonated with me, and I am a hard-core, lifelong musician with a degree in music history. Other than it having a steady beat, it barely registered as music to me at all.

But I also recognize that not everything in America has to be approved by me. There were two targets for this show - Hispanics/Latinx, and MAGAs. I’m neither, so I’m just an observer, and I highly approve of any event where MAGA gets poked in the eye.

Watch his Tiny Desk Concert on NPR, it’s amazing. Arena shows are just arena shows, the music gets a little lost in all the rest of what’s going on.

The most recent of those two was in 2007… There have been plenty of good acts that have played the super bowl since then. I think you might just not like most music.

I like MOST music, far more than most people do. Most people have very limited musical tastes, while mine are extremely wide. YOU probably dislike far more musical styles than I do.

And I didn’t say that I didn’t enjoy any other Super Bowl performances other than Prince and Michael, I just said that I enjoyed theirs the most, and since they are universally accepted as the most popular Super Bowl performances of all time, I’m clearly not alone.

I’ve actually enjoyed most of the Super Bowl performances I’ve seen. I even liked watching this one, I just didn’t dig the music, which isn’t aimed at me, and that’s okay.

Have you tried using an AI service that will take the description you provided and render it as a creepy, completely humourless, fight-or-flight response inducing hallucination at the cost of merely boiling off a small lake?

Not sure what kind of music you’re into, but I didn’t think I would like Bad Bunny either. After he won the Grammy, I decided to give it a listen and was shocked at how much of his music I liked.

And the spectacle of it all! Outside of last year, this was one of the most entertaining halftime shows I can remember.

That was some of the worst sound I’ve ever heard in a musical number, basically anywhere. You can like the story, you can like the visuals, but objectively he sounded like shit.

I didn’t watch the superbowl but I heard it was good. Not because I’m right-wing or anything like that. Also the Seahawks won so yay for them. I didn’t watch it because I’m not a big sports fan and I didn’t have a way to watch.

Emotional ambivalence isn’t only normal, it’s healthy. I love my partner for being my friend and supporter, but have also felt genuine hatred due to them not doing the work necessary to be a good spouse, leading to us separating.

The trauma bond is a bit different, though. It’s unhealthy ambivalence, where even the positive feelings are ultimately rooted in strongly negative behavior. I had one with my father, so I get it.

I remember a movie where there was a guru like that, who convinced everybody on his (the citizens of the protagonist country/village) to not fight, because “love is the most powerful weapon”. The protagonists were like “fuck that, you’re getting everybody killed”

So when the bad guys army arrived, they were meet with flowers and people just being happy and saying no need to flee or fight. The soldiers were too weird out to attack, so they just stood there, some joined the celebrations.

The lead bad guy got angry and tried to stab the protagonist, but was killed before by a dagger thrown by the pacifist guru. Everybody just looked at then and said “love is the most powerful weapon… But it’s not always the fastest”

I have no idea what this movie was, I remember it loked like shit, but that’s scene has been living rent free on my mind forever
