Not according to my Minnesota food service employer that requires that I work every weekend (Friday-Sunday) or else get fired. Also, a LOT of places here do 4x10s (or at least give you the option) so the weekend is kind of Friday-Sunday

Fair. I don’t work in an M-F 9-5 industry either. I’ve never heard of 4x10. Is that a food service thing?
No, it’s not usually a food service thing. It’s usually a manufacturing or an office thing. 4 day work week, ten hour days. 4x10s.
Right on! In nursing, some of us do 3.5 x 12 (3 shifts one week, 4 the other). I like it!
