A Canadian boycott and retaliatory trade barriers have wiped out U.S. wine and spirits sales abroad, costing American producers jobs, revenue, and entire export markets.
I can’t think of any alcohol the US produces that is uniquely good and worth supporting the US for.
Beers are literally undrinkable, I’m sure there are local craft beers that are great, but the rest of the world has that too. Bourbon is just ok. Wine can be good from Nappa valley, but there’s so much excellent wine from Australia, France, Italy and Spain there’s no reason to buy American.
American mass production beer is bullshit. In canada we have a fuckload of great breweries (if you live in Quebec and Montréal especially the beer is excellent) and Canadian whisky is great. Lot 40 rye is the best damn rye I know. I even tried American fancy rye whiskies that are more expensive but not as good.
