What are some good Canadian-owned retailers to buy electronics, electronic components, and computer accessories from?

I’m talking about things like USB hubs and peripherals, monitors, cabling, and electronic components like you used to be able to get at the Radio Shack of yore. For audio stuff, I go to Long & McQuade, but non-audio? shrug

Ideally, this would be a brick-and-mortar place in the GTA (but outside Toronto proper) but online would be great, too.

Canada Computers for a lot of that stuff. Several brick and mortars in GTA.

For electronic components, PiShop.ca online but based out of Ottawa and solen.ca for some components (caps, coils etc.) But they are DIY speaker oriented.

I have been moving a lot of my computer things to raspberry pis, because they are designed and use and they use arm processors designed in Europe. Sure I could probably do everything I do with the the 5 or 6 pis I currently have with one or two but I do not have any other computers that I use.

My Mac Pro cannot connect to the internet for whatever reason and the Mac Book or whatever the intel ones are called does not start up so I am cool with not using them. Next week I plan on taking my AppleTV out of my media centre and replacing it with another raspberry pi, I want to remove it from network altogether but I still have somethings in my smart home that require it. I may get more pis to replace my HomePods or some other device to work with my recent install of Home Assistant, on a pi!

I’ve heard lots of bad reviews of CanadaComputers and very few good (or even “average”) ones. What’s your experience been like with them?

Thanks on the PiShop and Solen reccos!
